Projects implementedWebsite of the Democratic Party
www.demokraci.pl The website features a font magnifier and a version in contrasting colours (bright elements on black background), so helpful for visually impaired people.
Maintaining its innovative form and the possibility to update the content by the customer, we adapted it to the European standards of website accessibility for people who are digitally excluded. The blind who participate in the Non-Discrimination Programme rated the website as very good and appreciated the fact that the access to the most important information such as contact data, manifesto, party authorities is quick, and navigating the website is intuitive and functional. The hierarchy of information accessibility on the website and its proper display is one of the most important challenges for website developers.
WIn the case of many websites, blind people need as much as 30 minutes to find a given institution’s contact data, and sometimes finding such important information as a city transportation timetable is absolutely impossible. E-readers that translate text into voice, used by blind people, are unable to navigate on poorly developed websites.
We support the call of the President of the Democratic Party targeted to all the political parties and other public institutions to adjust their websites to the needs of discriminated people.
