Content
Non-Discrimination Programme I encourage you to actively join the combat against discrimination and digital exclusion of the disabled, visually impaired, blind people as well as seniors and indigent people.
Our aim is to adjust as many websites as possible to the needs of the above groups.
Such websites feature a font magnifying system, a separate version of the website in contrasting colours, but most of all they are built in a way that enables blind people to know the content of the page using so-called e-readers that process text or graphics into voice information.
As part of the Non-Discrimination Programme, we are planning to hold a series of trainings for seniors on the basics of using computers and browsing websites. There are approximately 13 million people in Poland aged 50+ and only 11.5% of them can enjoy the benefits of the Internet. Let me quote just a few of them: the possibility to learn, contact with family and friends, checking information, travelling virtually and most of all fulfilment of the need to realise one’s own potential and be accepted and belong to a specific group. These people, although they declare a will to get into the virtual world, are unable to do it.
Your response to the call of the Non-Discrimination Programme is not only a measure of your social sensitivity and responsibility but also a rational action aimed at promoting your campaigns, activity, policy or commercial and business operations.
I encourage you to read about the legal grounds and benefits for all the participants of the Non-Discrimination Programme. Please rest assured that we will answer your every question.
